PANKRATION RULES


'A CLASS' PANKRATION RULES

Stand up Rules:

1. Knees allowed ONLY from the shoulders down
2. Kicking/punching allowed to the legs, torso, and head (no shinguards)
3. NO elbows
4. Two limbs have to be touching ground to be considered on the ground (two knees or one hand and one knee)
5. Fights are 3 THREE MINUTE rounds with ONE MINUTE break between rounds

Ground Rules

1. Punching allowed ONLY from the shoulders down
2. ALL SUBMISSIONS WELCOME except for spinelocks
3. No kicking or knees allowed to grounded opponent
4. First stalling on ground will result in reset to standing position; next infraction(s) by same fighter will result in fighter being put into "turtle" position at middle of ring. (Turtle position is defined as knees and palms of hands planted on mat.) Opposing fighter will be standing behind "turtled" fighter with "diamond" on back of "turtled" made by placing fingers and thumbs together.
***Stalling is defined as fighter(s) not improving position, not applying techniques for sweeps, submissions, or escapes
5. MMA Sparring gloves provided will be mandatory

H.A.P.A. IS PROVIDING

1. Gloves

H.A.P.A. IS NOT PROVIDING

1. Cups (groin protector)
2. Mouth piece
3. Corner man or supplies
4. Entrance song (NO Profanity) if you want a song provide a CD with only one song.


'B CLASS' PANKRATION RULES

Stand up Rules:

1.NO knees
2.NO elbows
3.Kicking/punching allowed to the legs, torso, and head

MUAY THAI RULES

1. No elbows
2. Clinch will be allowed for three-seconds; referee will break.
3. Muay Thai shorts required.
4. Fights are 3 TWO MINUTE rounds with ONE MINUTE break between rounds
5. There are no judges. So if bout does not end in a KO or TKO, the bout will end in a draw.
6. Headgear is optional.
7. 16 Oz gloves provided will be mandatory.
